Hours: Monday - Thursday 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Friday 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Saturday 8:30 AM - Noon
Eau Claire Veterinary Urgent Care hours are available many, but not all, evenings (Monday - Friday) until 10:00 PM.
Many hours throughout all weekends are also covered. National holidays may be excluded.

Texting and Mobile App

Our mobile app is called Pet Health Network. You can use it to request an appointment, view your pet’s prescription history and details, request prescription refills, and access information about our practice. To start using the app, download Pet Health Network from the App Store or get it on Google Play, then text us to request your personalized secure connection code.

We are open and following CDC Guidelines.
Protocols are followed for the safety of employees and clients.
If your pet has a simple medical problem we might be able triage by phone. If things are more complex, or a simple treatment has not helped we will need to schedule an appointment.
Our hospital has been handling urgent/emergent needs and rabies vaccines since the COVID restrictions started. We are now performing most exams for wellness care, as well as Urgent Care appointments and surgeries. Once your pet is in the building we can do all services (like the exam, other vaccines, and wellness laboratory testing-fecals, tick-screens, other blood testing) that are important. We are able to fill prescriptions or special diets for pick up with at least 24 hours notice, or you can order from our online store.
At this time we are not allowing clients in the building but will take your pet inside for services needed, and communicate by phone with the doctor or technician. Email email@example.com or phone 715.835.0112 or text 715.718.3662 for additional information.
Because of our COVID protocols, scheduled appointments take longer than usual. We do our best to make your wait time reasonable. We are offering limited opportunities for your pet to be admitted for several hours and we will do everything that is needed during the day keeping your pet comfortable in our hospital awaiting your return. You can go home or go to work and come back when everything is done. We now have an online check in form that you complete before arriving and then submit to us for regular and drop off appointments. This will save time and more safely limit the conversations our staff is conducting in the parking lot.
For payment, your chosen credit card information may kept in a secure portal for use when needed. This has proven to be very popular for those clients that visit us often with new kittens and puppies, as well as those needing frequent medication or prescription diet refills.

Oakwood Hills Animal Hospital updated our accreditation by the American Association of Feline Practitioners for another three year period on January 10, 2020.
June 22, 2020 After careful consideration Oakwood Hills Animal Hospital is closing our general boarding operations permanently.
Other nearby excellent facilities are open and accepting new clients. If you want vaccine records shared, please email, text, or call to give us that permission.
We are still able to care for the overnight needs of higher maintenance patients, requiring multiple medications, special handling or any injectable medication that is given daily. Please contact us so we can update our records for ease of reservations in the future if you anticipate needing this.
If you are not a current client, yet anticipate needing this type of care, please call to schedule a Consultation Exam with your pet so we can get to know what your situation is.
